Essence Eyeliner and Mascara

I’m a sucker for anything that gives a dramatic result. And when it comes to cosmetics and skincare that claims to do something dramatic, I get more excited. But it’s a hassle to find anything with results that make all other products pale in comparison. But boy when you find these kind of products with noticeable results that come with a heart-attack-worthy price tag. I get you gurl! It’s annoying. But there are some cheap underdogs out there that are not mentioned but do give you a great result without emptying your pocket. One of them is the Essence Super-fine Eyeliner pen and Get big Lashes Mascara.

Essence Super-fine Eyeliner Pen

Let me start by telling you about the superfine eyeliner pen. I prefer pen liners over other kind of liners. I have used the cake liners, liquid liners and gel liners in the past but I go back to pen liners. The only drawback of a pen liner is that they dry out fast but other then that it’s super easy to use. But this one lasted longer then I expected. It does last you for 3 months if you use it daily. Say whaaaat!?!! Yeah you read it. Whole 3 months and it costs SAR 11 (PKR 470) ! Isn’t that amazing?
A girl can conquer the world if she has that wing on point. And as the name suggests, it has superfine felt tip. It was super easy to use and gave a perfect wing in a couple of minutes. It dried down matte. And the best part, I saved for last. It was super black. I didn’t have to go over it again and ruin my perfect wing.
I would suggest it to the beginners and pros. Especially to the people who are always on the go. It is best of the best and budget friendly.

Essence Get Big Lashes Mascara

Now let’s talk about the get big lashes mascara. It claims to give a volume boost and yeah it does. Before I bought it I did read mixed reviews and thought that even if it goes wrong, it won’t burn a hole in my pocket. But when I bought it I was simply amazed. My lashes are naturally long so I didn’t notice the lengthening action but it did give volume to my lashes. It didn’t clump my lashes. It didn’t flake at all. I read reviews that it flakes but as I don’t apply multiple layers of mascara it didn’t flake. It is super black too.
It has a big wand, that is good for even coating but it’s hard to get it onto the corner and lower lashes. For that I used a small piece of card board (roughly around the size of a credit card) and placed it under the lower lashes so it doesn’t get under the eyes. And did the same for the corner.
It didn’t wear off or smudge the whole day. And it came off easily with my Garnier Miceller Cleansing Water (that stuff is amazing) without having to tug my eyes.
It cost me around SAR 13(PKR 525) so it is a steal when you compare it with the other drugstore mascaras. Overall it is a good mascara if you are on a budget.

Essence is one of my favorite drugstore brand. It hasn’t let me down ever. And since purchasing these two products, I’ve been reaching it almost every time I apply my makeup. It’s the perfect budget friendly eyeliner and mascara duo for everyday use. Let me know what are your budget friendly duos for eyes.
